History

Trafford Library was started by a few dedicated volunteers in the early 1930s. The first space was a small room in the lower level of Trafford High School. Mrs. Lois Baker was the first librarian and worked tirelessly to ensure the Library’s success. The Library was officially incorporated as the Trafford Community Public Library in 1983. From our humble beginnings, we have grown to a larger space with multiple areas. Despite evolving, our mission, to enrich the lives of our community members, remains the same. We strive to continue evolving to meet the needs our of changing community.
